Empowering Unity: UCCS Feminist Club Hosts Spooky Skate Night for Community Bonding

October 26th, 2023 - On a chilly autumn evening, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus witnessed an event that blended empowerment, unity, and Halloween fun. The UCCS Feminist Club hosted their third annual "Spooky Skate Night" at Skate City, a Halloween-themed costume party with a twist, to promote community bonding and celebrate individuality.

The event, held on October 26th, 2023, was an embodiment of the club's mission to break stereotypes and empower students. Attendees and club members alike were in for a thrilling experience, as Skate City was transformed with Halloween excitement that left a lasting impact on all those who participated.

A roller-skating rink lay at the heart of the event, bathed in the ethereal glow of the nostalgic skate city lights. It was a captivating scene where bumble-bees, cow-boys, cars, and a wide array of other costumes rolled gracefully, showing off their roller-skating skills, their individuality, and their creativity. In the end, this event was a testament to the UCCS Feminist Club's commitment to building a more inclusive community. "Spooky Skate Night" is one of our favorite events; it's about action, unity, and having fun.
